CHRIS BROWN, FREEHOLDER
A local businessman and former local official, Chris Brown is one of the newest members of the Burlington County Freeholder Board, having been sworn to a three-year term on January 1, 2009. He has immediate oversight over the “justice” side of County government, including the prosecutor’s office, the courts and corrections, and also all three County schools (Burlington County College, Burlington County Institute of Technology, and Special services), all of which have played a supportive role in the County’s quest for economic growth. Brown himself is the owner and founder of Guardian Property & Casualty, Guardian Settlement Agents, and an owner of a RE/MAX real estate office. He is a former member of Evesham Council. He has also been an active supporter of the Center for the Arts of South Jersey, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and “One Child Saved,” an organization started by newsman Don Tollefson which helps disadvantaged children.
